Now accepting manager applications
Welcome to StatesCup.net, still in "beta". The idea, if you haven't been to the About page yet, is simple: what if U.S. states had "national" teams, like countries do?
This idea has been knocked around before, by folks like Ives Galarcep with his All-State Best XI and Buzz Carrick with his Republic of Texas National Team.
I think the idea is really fun and interesting, so I built this site. I hope to make it easy for people to be virtual managers of these virtual teams.
For now, though - it's still just an empty stadium. It needs fans, spectators and supporters, but most of all: players. To get players, the first thing we need is managers.
Welcome to the American Cup of States
What if the U.S. had a national soccer tournament — an "American Cup of States" — like the World Cup for national teams?
What if states in the U.S. had their own "national" teams, complete with player eligibility rules?
Welcome to the site where this fantasy becomes virtual reality.
